Stroller Organizer

Hi all, Happy Father’s Day Weekend!

My daughter needed a way to keep her stroller organized during a long day at a local amusement park so I came up with this stroller organizer that can be tied to the stroller handles or handle bar on any stroller.

The stroller organizer features 5 small pockets that are perfect for holding things like snacks, water bottles, hand sanitizer, wipes, sunblock, etc. and 1 large velcro pocket that is perfect for things like diapers or a change of clothes.

My daughter rotates between a few different strollers and this stroller organizer can be easily removed and tied onto something else in the blink of an eye.

The stroller organizer is also slim and low profile so it won’t get in the way when walking and won’t affect your grip when pushing the stroller.  There is also still plenty of room for stroller hooks or carabiners on the handle bar and the stroller organizer does not prevent you from having access to the bottom storage basket of the stroller.

My daughter said it held up great at the amusement park and allowed her to have a quick and easy way to organize all of my grandson’s things.  These stroller organizers are available by special order at prettyingingham@gmail.com and can be customized with the fabric color and pattern of your chose.

We hope you have a great weekend celebrating the special men in your life!

Rescue vehicle blanket

Happy May!  It’s hard to believe we are already halfway through the month of May.  Even though the weather has started to warm up, my mind has been on blankets lately.

My grandson recently celebrated a birthday and for part of his birthday present, I made a blanket for him.  He loves trucks and cars of all kinds and I thought this pattern would be perfect for him.

Blankets can be special ordered in the size, color and fabric design of your choice.  These blankets make wonderful gifts for baby showers or birthday presents and are also perfect when upgrading from a crib to a big kid bed.

Looking forward to watching my grandson play on this blanket with all of his trucks and cars!

Happy 2016!

Happy New Year friends!  I hope you enjoyed the Holidays and that 2016 is off to a great start for all of you so far.

I took a few weeks off of sewing over the Holidays to spend time with family and to celebrate my grandson’s 1st Christmas but now I’m back in the groove and am super excited about some of the new items we will be featuring at our 2016 craft shows!

Ever since my grandson was born, I have fallen in love with things like bibs, burp cloths and baby blankets.  I am always trying to think of ways that I can create things that are useful but also cute and unique.  In 2015, I created a special line of Pretty in Gingham items called Just for Baby.  My grandson uses burp cloths and bandana bibs daily (and sometimes goes through multiple ones in the same day!) and since I’ve had so much fun making different designs for him, I decided to introduce them as regular Pretty in Gingham items as well.

This year, I am super excited to be expanding the Just for Baby line to include regular sized bibs and toy straps.  Our full sized bibs are backed with a soft absorbent lining that will make mealtime a breeze and can be customized based on the color and fabric of your choice.

Our toy straps are a fun and efficient way to prevent teething rings, toys and sippy cups from falling on the floor.  Simply attach the strap to the toy or sippy cup of your choice and then secure the strap to anything from a stroller to carseat to shopping cart handle by fastening one of the snaps.  Each toy strap features two snaps so the length can be customized and adjusted as needed.  These straps have been a lifesaver for my daughter who no longer has to retrieve the same item multiple times or worry about my grandson accidentally dropping toys while in his stroller or high chair.

All of our Just for Baby line can be customized with the fabric, design or color of your choice and can be combined with other items to make a perfect personalized gift for the mommies or mommies-to-be in your life.

Baby bandana bibs

We are super stoked to announce that Pretty in Gingham will be adding a brand new line of baby items called Just for Baby featuring items like burp cloths and bandana bibs.

Our bandana bibs are dual lined and feature the fabric/color of your choice on the top and a soft flannel backing to ensure maximum comfort for baby.  All bibs also contain a snap closure on the back to keep them securely in place.

Bandana bibs are perfect for use while feeding, for a teething baby or just as an accessory because they are so darn cute!

Get your baby burp on!

We are super excited to share a sneak peek of our brand new Pretty in Gingham burp cloths which we will be featuring at the upcoming craft fair on Saturday July 11 (click here for more details)!  I initially came up with the idea for baby burp cloths when my grandson was born.  I thought it would be really fun for my daughter and her husband to have some customized burp cloths in the colors and designs of their choice (i.e. Star Wars prints for my Star Wars loving son-in-law) rather than the generic ones in the stores.  We have gotten so much use out of these burp cloths in the short amount of time that my grandson has been around and I am really looking forward to being able to include these as a regular Pretty in Gingham item!

Our Pretty in Gingham burp cloths are dual lined with a soft comfortable fabric on top which is gentle on baby’s skin and an absorbent terry cloth backing to ensure that anything and everything gets soaked into the burp cloth and not into your clothes!  Our burp cloths make great gifts (we have tucked them into baby shower gifts and have included them in a gift when visiting a family and their new bundle of joy for the first time) and can be special ordered based on the colors, prints or design of your choice.

Babies on the Brain

Hi everyone, daughter Kristy here!  So I’m commandeering the blog today to talk to you about babies.

My husband and I actually just got married in October 2013 although we had been together for years before the wedding and have actually lived together for a very big chunk of our relationship.  Even though we’ve been together for awhile now and feel like we’re pretty stable and established, we’re not quite ready to start a family just yet.

You’re probably thinking, “Where is this going?  I thought she said she wanted to talk about babies?!?”  (Bear with me, I’m getting to the baby part, I promise!)

We definitely do see kiddies in the very near future but there are a few things we would like to enjoy before we get there.  I’m sure this drives my parents nuts because I know they want grandbabies (and stat!) but they’re being really great about sitting back and letting us decide when the time is right.  So you see, the ones who actually have babies on the brain are my mom and dad!

Until a grandchild of her own comes along, my amazing mom has started creating aprons for children and youth and they are so ding dang stinking cute!  They are all fully lined with our signature gingham backing and two large front pockets but they’re mini size and that’s what I love most about them!  Everything mini is just automatically that much more precious.  Mini desserts, mini travel accessories, mini animals, you get my picture.

This particular apron is by far my favorite of all the adorable kiddie aprons my mom has made so far.  Pink and green are my two favorite colors and I’m also really loving the festive polka dot print.

This particular apron was made specifically for my mom’s grand niece (my cousin’s daughter) who will be turning 1  1/2 years old shortly.  Needless to say, the combination of her unabashedly adorable self sporting this unabashedly adorable apron is going to be almost too much for me to handle but I’ll try to control myself long enough to share some photos as soon as they are available.

Our Pretty in Gingham youth aprons are $12 each for regular fabrics (or $15 each for licensed fabrics and Aloha prints).  Please email us at prettyingingham@gmail.com with questions or more information about the specific patterns available.  We can also customize an order for you.  Wouldn’t these aprons be adorable on siblings or twins?  The possibilities are endless!
